Everything a small press does between “hello” and “paid”
Intake with screening
Embed a query or proposal form on any site. Every submission is checked by rules and a Cloudflare Workers AI model; anything doubtful is held for a person, never published or passed on. Submissions nobody has opened for 14 days raise an alert.
Editorial work folders
First Edit, Second Edit, First Proof and Second Proof are created for each project and open one after another as work is approved. Editors and proofreaders get a private link that expires, for that one folder only.
IP indemnity on every upload
Before a file is accepted, the person uploading confirms they have the right to share it. The confirmation, the file’s fingerprint, the time and the device are written to a tamper-evident log.
W-9 / W-8BEN gate
Vendors complete their own tax form on a private page; the tax ID is encrypted and shown masked. A payout cannot be approved until a reviewed, current form is on file.
Offer letters and agreements
Generate an offer letter, publishing agreement or freelance agreement as a PDF and send it for e-signature, with a certificate of completion and a hash-chained audit trail.
Ledger and PayPal payouts
Track income, vendor expenses, advances, royalties and installment plans per project. Export approved payments as a PayPal bulk-payout file, then freeze them once paid.
Half-year royalty reports
After 30 June and 31 December, a PDF royalty statement for every contributor is generated and kept as an immutable copy.
Moderated team chat
Channels, direct messages and voice or video calls between teammates, plus isolated guest channels for freelancers. Owners can warn, mute or remove people, and direct messages can be reviewed for safety, with every review on the record.
How it works
1. Receive
Queries arrive through your embedded form, are screened, and wait in one inbox. Accept one and it becomes a project on your board.
2. Produce
Open the editing and proofing folders, invite your freelancers by link, and move each stage forward as it is approved.
3. Sign and pay
Send agreements for signature, collect tax forms, approve payouts and export them to PayPal.
4. Report
Every June and December the royalty reports are produced and archived for you.
Built to be safe by default
Private by design
Every workspace is a hard boundary. Public links are unguessable, expire, and can be revoked.
On the record
Approvals, tax-ID reveals, moderation and message reviews are written to a tamper-evident log you can verify.
Light on cost
Chat sleeps when nobody is typing, files stream straight to storage, and screening uses Cloudflare’s own models.
Questions
Is Royal Projects part of my Royaltis plan?
It is being switched on workspace by workspace. If you can’t see it in your Royaltis dashboard yet, ask us and we will enable it.
Who can read direct messages?
Direct messages are private to the two people in them and reviewable by the workspace’s owners and administrators, and the chat tells everyone so. Each review needs a stated reason and is written to the workspace’s audit log.
Does the AI decide whether a manuscript is accepted?
No. It only screens for prohibited content such as sexual content involving minors, explicit material, hate and scams. Anything it flags is held for a person; acceptance is always a human decision.
Where are files and tax IDs kept?
Files live in your workspace’s private storage, tax IDs are encrypted before they are stored, and nothing is visible to another workspace.
Can I install it on my phone?
Yes. On a phone your browser will offer to add Royal Projects to your home screen, and it keeps offering until you do.
